Prelude

It was a time like any other where Young Love bloomed and blossomed taking flight, as the wind touched her face it made her blush in delight. She looked out of the window through the railing at the road empty as far as the eye could see then she looked up at the sky filled with clouds, was it going to rain today she wondered?

The breeze had a faint smell of what she didn’t know.. was it the smell of his perfume! was he really going to come? her heart pounded so fast that it felt like it was ready to leap out of her body— almost any minute now he would be here The Gulmohar tree outside the window had bright red flowers she was distracted by the bell.

It was Time she waved to her friends and walked towards the gate fidgeting a little perhaps, as she left the building it started to rain the road was packed there was no breeze just a lot of noise from the honking of cars and puddles filled with water making it difficult to walk on the road.

Lost in the din of the crowd for a moment she had forgotten about him, was he there yet?should she look for him or would he find her did he even come at all or did the rain stop him from coming? there was always tomorrow. She gripped the pen so tightly she could feel it piercing through her skin and as she looked up she saw Him he had his back turned towards her she thanked god for that she didn’t know if she could handle to look at his face. The crowd was no longer there she could not hear the honking as she walked towards him across the road he turned and their eyes met for a fleeting moment.

She gripped the pen so tightly she could feel it piercing through her skin and there he was he had his back turned towards her she thanked god for that she didn’t know if she could handle to look at his face.

The crowd was a blur she could no longer hear the honking as she walked towards him crossing the road with an absent mind he had turned around and their eyes met for a fleeting second.

A second that would echo in time, a moment she would never forget!

Flushed she walked towards the car, the driver was saying something inaudible

Her heart had stopped pounding— there was a Calm.
