  1. Hello Guys

“Haiku” is a Japanese form of poetry that consists of 17 syllables and 3 lines.
It follows a 5/7/5 syllable rule

I am quite new to Haiku glad u liked my first attempt 😊

  2. Well, for a first attempt I think you’ve done a marvelous job! Way to go! I Love haiku. Many people see it as an easy task, but in fact it’s quite difficult. the 5-7-5 rule places a fairly severe restraint on the language. I think you might enjoy the book, Chiyo-ni: Woman Haiku Master. It’s a beautifully written book that chronicles the life of a Japanese woman haiku poet, Chiyo-ni. And it includes a great deal of her work. If you can get to it, I. think you’d love it.

I am so impressed with your blog and I’m glad you dropped by. Thank you so much. I look forward to seeing more of your work, haiku or otherwise! 🙂

  3. Thanks, Paul ur too kind!

Haiku is anything but easy, Having, to sum up so much in 17 syllables is an arduous task 🙂

I will be getting my hands on ‘Chiyo-ni’ pronto.
Also, I’m humbled that you find my blog interesting.
