My Heart is empty

But it still aches

when I hear someone say your name

I turn around and there you are

Dancing with her

In perfect Harmony.

  1. Oh my, you have told us a whole story in less than 44 words! Bravo to you! And in my opinion you should NOT touch one word of what you have done to fit an proscribed form. These are the word that the Universe gave to you and you should honor and respect that gift and leave this as is – in my opinion! It is a verbal masterpiece!!! It’s the heart of a Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers movie! You deserve a Standing Ovation!

This is such an elegantly worded piece that captures all the elements of a great story, love lost, broken hearts and sadness and who knows what’s next?? Oh yes, so when is the sequel due to be released? LOL! Your words paint the most exquisite image (your artwork was perfect) of how it feels to go through a heart break.

The good news that is related to this sad and melancholy scene is where she will be in the future. Please read my post “Thank You for Leaving Me”. Please consider doing a series with this as the opening piece and then moving us through the recovery step by step with the same excellence as you accomplished here! Bellissimo, Bellissimo!!!

    1. Your poem is so worthy of high praise as is it’s Author!! Yes, you bet I want to encourage you to do a series! Don’t you hear all your followers cheering for More??? Ha! Be sure and give us a distribution date and let us know when the movie is coming out! LOL!!

I’m glad you liked “Thank you for leaving me”. It takes awhile to get to that point. I really appreciate you spending time with me there! I read your work “Apathy” and loved it! You have really hooked me on your works and the heart and soul of the Author who can create such beautiful creations. You have a great eye, wordsmithing skills and a tender and sensitive heart and a wonderful way of melding them all together into a beautiful painting with words that touches our hearts!!

I must warn you that I have acquired the skills needed to do Back Catalogging! Don’t tempt me to turn them on YOU! LOL!! See my post on back catalogging Tanya Cliff.

    2. Just Reblogged this piece!! Tried last night but the reblog function got stuck in a loop?? FYI for any short works that you post in the future – Use the “Read More” button after the first four lines or so (in this case right after your artwork) before you publish and this will cut off what people see and force them to click through to your post instead of being able to read the whole work without clicking. You are losing visits if you don’t do this.

I would suggest that you might want to edit “Harmony” to include the “Read More” message after your artwork even now. If you check out the reblog on my blog you will see that the whole work is visible without having to click through to your blog.

I hope you get lots of visits.

Thanks again for this Super poem. It hit me hard! And the release date for the sequel is When??? LOL!

    3. A ghostwriter??? Hmm! Had never thought of that but you might want to check out my two posts – “Allie’s Song To Noah” and “Allie’s Note To Noah” both fantasy take offs on “The Notebook”. The set ups were written by me. Great movie! Have you seen it?

  4. Oh this is beautiful! Thank you for sharing your creativity – it inspires me 🙂

You are welcome to contribute a poem to Forgiving Fridays if you’d like to! It’s a new project I’m working on to invite followers (and anyone on wordpress!) to share forgiveness. You can do it any day this week & just include a pingback to my post. Here’s the link to my latest one if helpful: https://forgivingconnects.com/2017/05/12/todays-forgiving-fridays-an-honest-look-at-myself/

I really enjoy your blog. Have a great day ❤
